Privacy
This notice describes how the current, registration-free version of Roll and Lore Screen handles information.
Contact
The Roll and Lore Screen project can be contacted at handcrafteddungeons98@gmail.com.
Local campaign storage
No account is required. Campaigns, characters, notes, settings, recovery points and imported assets are stored locally in your browser using browser storage technologies such as local storage and IndexedDB.
The current application does not intentionally upload this campaign data to a Handcrafted Dungeons server. Local data can be lost if browser data is cleared, the browser removes site storage or the device becomes unavailable. Use the built-in complete backup function regularly.
Files you choose to import
Uploaded maps, portraits and character PDF files are processed by the application in your browser and stored locally where required. Do not import content that you are not authorised to use.
External services
Some features request rules information or software components from external providers, including Open5e, the D&D 5e API, cdnjs and jsDelivr. When your browser contacts these services, they may receive ordinary technical request data such as your IP address, browser information, requested resource and time of access. Their own privacy terms apply to that processing.
Email and support messages
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer questions, investigate bugs and improve the application. Support messages may be retained while they remain useful for resolving the request or documenting a recurring problem.
Do not send sensitive personal data or complete campaign backups unless they are necessary and you understand their contents.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The current release does not activate advertising or analytics scripts and does not use advertising cookies. Browser storage used to save your campaigns and preferences is necessary for the application to work.
This notice will be updated before analytics, advertising, accounts or server-side synchronisation are introduced.
Your choices and requests
You can remove locally stored application data through the in-app data controls or your browser settings. Because local campaigns are not held in our own database, we generally cannot recover them for you.
For questions about an email you sent or any other privacy request, use the contact page or write to handcrafteddungeons98@gmail.com.
Changes to this notice
We may update this page when the application or its data handling changes. The date at the top identifies the current version.
